Lineage Graphs

Lineage graphs show how governance evidence relates over time. They help auditors and reviewers understand which declarations, reviews, policy records, and credentials support a decision.

Users normally inspect lineage from Governance Studio. The Lineage Graphs view appears when lineage is enabled for the deployment and the project has lineage records to display.

• Which evidence contributed to a governance record?
• Which declarations and reviews are related to a certificate?
• What changed before or after a credential was issued?
• Is there enough context to understand the evidence path?

• Review lineage before issuing or relying on a certificate.
• Confirm that the graph matches the expected project and policy context.
• Treat missing lineage as a signal to check feature enablement, permissions, or service health.
• Use lineage as supporting context, not as a replacement for reviewer judgment.
